Week 44 - H2

Hi family!
Sorry that I am super late!!! I also do not have much time today, like 10 minutes. This week was really fun and we did two exchanges.
Good news!! Elder Kennedy and I have another transfer together! Elder Unick is our new district leader.
No pics this week. I do not have my camera. Today has been really hectic trying to get all of the other elders ready to go to transfer.  To answer Mom really quick, no, I hadn't heard about the shooting. I am not surprised, we hear gunshots all the time.  I'm glad I'm still alive!  Thanks for the package!
Gotta go,
Love ya!

Week 43 - H2

The scriptures spoke to my soul this morning

Hi Family,
I was jumping around the scriptures this morning when I found a few verses that meant a lot.  I was trying to learn about blessings and I read in Doctrine and Covenants Section 6 Verse 32.  Christ says that when two or more are gathered as touching one thing, that He is there also.
I continued reading and these verses brought tears to my eyes.
33 Fear not to do goodmy sons, for whatsoever ye sow, that shall ye also reap; therefore, if ye sow good ye shall also reap good for your reward.
34 Therefore, fear not, little flockdo good; let earth and hell combine against you,
for if ye are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail.
35 Behold, do not condemn you; go your ways and sin no more; perform with soberness the work which have commanded you.
36 Look unto me in every thoughtdoubt not, fear not.
37 Behold the wounds which pierced my side, and also the prints of the nails in my hands and feet; be faithful, keep my commandments, and ye shall inherit the kingdom of heaven. Amen.
Being able to reap what we sow seems really hard right now because we are working really hard and it does not seem like anything is happening.  We see right here that Christ is comforting ME by saying "Fear not, little flock; do good."  He promises that Earth and hell CANNOT prevail against those who are doing good.  That comforted me when I read it.
He says that he does not condemn me.  He commissions me to continue on to the work I have been commanded to do.
Look unto him in EVERY thought, doubt not, fear not.  Let virtue garnish thy thoughts unceasingly.
Then He says to see how much He loves us.  He shows us what he did for us and asks us to be faithful and keep His commandments.
This week was super awesome!!  On Wednesday, we went to eat dinner with the P. family.  She is like elderly and her husband isn't a member.  She was sleeping while we were there and he was hammered.  We were eating and he was all mad that the cabbage that he had was a giant onion... then we caught a little green gecko in their house.  It was really weird.
Our investigators are all chugging along!  haha

Also, let me leave you with this,
Love endureth by diligence unto prayer.
Moroni 8:26 And the remission of sins bringeth meekness, and lowliness of heart; and because of meekness and lowliness of heart cometh the visitation of the Holy Ghost, which Comforter filleth with hope and perfect love, which love endureth by diligence unto prayer, until the end shall come, when all the saints shall dwell with God.
I love you all!

Week 42 - H2

Hey y'all
Thanks for sending the pictures of the family at the funeral to me.  It didn't make me sad like you worried.  I am actually completely at peace.  I know that Grandma is happier now than she has been for a long time because the pain is gone.  Seeing all of the pictures this week was really fun!!  It helped me to see how everyone is doing.  Lots of family members have put on weight... Not good.  We gots to be healthy!!

To answer Mom's question:  We wake up at 6:30 and jog until 7:00.  Then we shower and get ready.  I shower first every day and then lay on top of my neatly made bed until it is time to start studies.  Do I fall asleep?  yes.  I am ashamed.  haha  Then we do all four hours of studies.  Then we eat lunch. Then we are out until dinner, then we are back out until 9:00pm.  At 9:00, we nightly plan and plan our next day.  Then we relax and go to bed.  It starts again the next day.
We get one or two meals at a members house a week.  That's good enough.

This week was crazy!
I got sick on Wednesday and was in bed almost all day on Thursday.  It sucked so bad.  Then Elder Palacios, our district leader, and I went to see I. at 8 pm.  I almost passed out on our way there... I was super sick.  The lesson was fun, we taught her kids.  We are working toward baptism with them. Then I went back home to bed.  I had some sort of virus that lasted about 48 hours, I was fine enough to work Friday.

I will leave you with this challenge;
Always read your scriptures, Pray Daily, give what you have to the missionaries. Read Helaman 5:12
Love you all!! bye!

Week 41 - H2

Hi mommy!!  I scratched my ear for you!
Thank you so much for that awesome Package!!!

I'm sorry about Grandma Linda.  I have been able to feel her support the last few days. It has really been a noticeable difference! Also, you know how I called like an hour early on Mother's day? I got to talk to Linda. I got to see her one last time. At the time it may have seemed like an inconvenience, but I know that was a tender mercy from the Lord. Grandma shared her testimony with me and that is something that I will never forget.

Well, I. and her boys all kinda dropped off of the face of the world. We will keep watching for them.  We had lots of flat tires again this week - those broken beer bottles.  I was pumping up a new tube the other day and I saw it bulging... the only words in my mind were, "awwww crud" BOOOOOOOOM slime everywhere. That was pretty fun.haha  I got a flat at a service project and we had to walk home. about 5 miles... That was fun but we explored our whole area and found some new places that we might want to go and buscar gente.

Oh and the toilet flooded our bathroom on Monday right after Pday. haha I had to sacrifice my big gray towel to keep the yucky water from ruining the carpet in our bedroom. That was a terrible experience that I will remember fondly *shudder*

Zone Conference was great, we learned a whole lot about cool stuff to help with planning and setting goals.

I got a letter from LaVon Marshall in the ward...she is really awesome!  Our plans for this week are to just keep teaching.

I want you to look up the video "You Never Know" on Mormon Channel. Click here for You Never Know

Gotta go,  Love you!!
